THE ANCIENTS

The Ancients collection is a series of one-off pieces handmade using a technique called granulation, which was first created in Sumer(Mesopotamia) over 5,000 years ago. It is the process of melting silver to make spheres then affixing them by soldering to each other and/or a base/frame. Long considered one of the most challenging techniques to do and in ancient times only done by craftspeople for royals, it is still used in jewellery today.
